The doctoral programme in Sociology. Theory, Research, Applications is based on more than thirty years of teaching and research experience, gained in various doctoral courses related to the Department of Sociology of Università Cattolica.

Thanks to this significant history of specialization in social sciences, the course integrates the theoretical-methodological knowledge of general sociology with that of applied sociology, aiming to combine third-level training for academic recruitment with higher education for public institutions, companies and organizations (profit and non-profit) operating both nationally and internationally.

On this basis the doctoral course in Sociology. Theory, Research, Applications aims to train professionals in theoretical and empirical research of social phenomena, contemporary economic, organizational and cultural processes; able to apply their knowledge and skills both in the academic field and within public, private and Third Sector organizations.
